Ecologische Olijfolie / Organic Olive Oil / Aceite de Olivas orgánico

Om 3 uur hebben we een afspraak bij de ecologische olijfoliemolen. We hebben maar een kleine hoeveelheid van 195 kilo dus mogen tussendoor. We worden lid van de cooperatie en mogen nu onze eigen olijven persen./At three o'clock we have an appointment with the ecological olive oil mill. We only have a small amount of 195 kilograms and can bring them in between big jobs. We became members of the cooperative and may now presses our own olives.

In deze machine (een grote blower) worden alle blaadjes en takjes van de olijven afgeblazen/In this machine all the leaves and twigs were blown of the olives

Dan worden ze schoongespoeld en vervolgen hun weg naar de molen/Then they are rinsed out and continue their way to the mill.
Gerard(o) stampt onze laatste olijfjes in de pers waar ze worden gemalen tot een olijvenpulp./Gerard(o) stamped our last olives in the press where they are milled into an olive pulp.
De pulp blijft een half uur ronddraaien en gaat dan via een slang naar een verwarmingstank waar het minimaal 1 uur in blijft/ The pulp continues to spin for half an hour and then goes through a hose to a heated tank where it stays for minimal 1 hour.

Fijn om hier een uur te wachten, de eerste amandelbloesem is er alweer en de rozemarijn staat in bloei/Nice to wait here for an hour, the first almond blossoms is there again, and the rosemary blooms.


De flessen zijn gevuld, een opbrengst van 60 liter. Wij hebben ons laten vertellen dat dit een hele goede opbrengst is van zo weinig olijven (195 kg, olieopbrenst percentage van 28 % met uitval) dus dat we goede bomen hebben. Hoera !!/The bottles are filled, a yield of 60 liters. We've been told that this is a very good yield with not so many olives(195 kg, oil yield of 28% failures included), so we have good trees. Hurrah!
Bij volle maan keren wij trots huiswaarts, thuis geproefd en niet te versmaden. /At full moon we proudly return home, we tasted and the taste is super.
